Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thay fighter. She is currently a fighter in the UFC Flyweight division. She is also the elder sister of an earlier UFC Flyweight champ and the fellow UFC competitor Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko began her fight sporting career as an Muay Thai Kickboxer and debuted in the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko was the winner of the event and beat Suzane Miller in the finals by a unanimity. Antonina won a medal of silver in 2007 and she also won a bronze medal in 2008, and a gold medal with gold in 2011. She was also crowned IFMA World Amateur Muaythai Champion 2016 by the IFMA. Antonia started her professional journey when she was in the year 2003. She has taken home numerous championships, including the World WKC K-1 Light Welterweight Championships the Lion Fight Lightweight Championships as well as the WMC as well as Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina was most recently seen battling Isa TIDBLAD Keskikangas at The Phoenix Fighting Championship. The fight was won by a unanimous vote. Antonina Schevchenko broke her professional MMA records in 2002, when she faced Anara Bazanova during the KFK Championship of Kyrgystan. She won with a TKO at the end of round 2 and was able to take home two subsequent bouts in the WXF X-Impact World Championships of 2003. This gave her a 3-0 MMA record. Shevchenko dedicated herself to kickboxing, and took a long time off in MMA. She was back to fight in 2017 and faced Anissa Hasdaoui. Shevchenko defeated Anissa in a unanimous decision and beat Valerie Domergue on Phoenix FC 4 in 2017. The promotion ended in 2018 to join Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko battled Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina used her superior striking skills in order to TKO Nievera in the clinch via knees to the body. After this win, Antonina was given an UFC contract. Antonina Shevchenko made her UFC debut UFC in the TUF Finals TUF Heavy Hitting fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modafferi via split decision fight after winning the first fight via an unanimous decision. Antonina rebounded from the defeat by prevailing Lucie Prudilova at UFC on ESPN Covingtonvs. Lawler with a rear naked choke submission. It was the top fight of the night in this fight. Shevchenko went 2-2 in her next 3 fights. She defeated Ariane Lipski but lost to Katlyn Chokagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina was defeated by Casey O'Neill by second-round TKO in the second round of UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
