Kolber is a Pennsylvania resident, Kolber received her graduate education in the University of Miami. Kolber began her career in New York City as a CBS Sports video coordinator. As a video coordinator at WTVJ-TV, Miami, she won an Sports Emmy. She was employed at WPLG-TV, Miami as well as WPEC-TV West Palm Beach. She was selected as anchor on ESPN2 in 1993.
